What do McDonald's, a noreaster, and a campfire have in common?

They are all a part of my week!

So, aside from already taking 3 sick days, and it's not even October yet, life is just peachy.

P e a c h y keen! (for jen's benefit, because I know she wouldn't understand what I was typing, unless I spelled it out ;-) )

So, in all sorts of attempts to make our baby happy, well, really just to keep busy, we've done all sorts of crazy things!

Like being bored at work.

Or wearing bunny slippers out to play cuz mommy thinks they're cute! (because they have ears!)

Who's up for a rousing game of where's baby?

waking up in a tent :)bundled up in the rain!

in time out in the tent for eating pine needles.

on mommy! on daddy!

trying to figure out fire.

meeting the devil at the white house

hangin' in the woods hangin' with the older, smaller cousin Jamie.

hangin' with the keys in "therapy"

Oh, and just hangin'!

Phew! One of these days we'll do nothing...

Life is Good

Well, working and being a mom is easier with friends helping out... I am already investigating child care options for next year. Good luck to me. Let's see, in addition to that, I have gone to this wonderful Stake Temple Day, and frolicked around D.C. briefly. Our ward split, which I was actually surprised to be a little bummed about. But, other than the usual crazy busy ness, Malcolm has been sweet enough to help with chores around the house (the dishes and laundry being his favorite), and I am just enjoying the gifts God gives me every day.

The Beach and the Grindstone

Getting ready for fun is sometimes more fun than the actual thing that we're getting ready to do. Sometimes, it's so great that I have to get out the camera to catch the grins and giggles on film!

There's nothing more enjoyable than rolling around in bed, right?!

Well, we could roll around naked. That could be way more fun!

Not that the beach wasn't everything I'd hoped and dreamed. The day for it was perfect. I wish that daddy had wanted to join us, but sometimes I am the only one who wants to get out of the house. I think that Tim's days working in front of a computer have permanently damaged his love for the outdoors. So, I captured Malcolm gazing in wonderment at this new world around him.

It was tricky getting everything together, but it was worth it to see the look of, "Mom, water shouldn't move like that, it keeps tickling me!

So, we played and played, and I enjoyed every moment. But all good things must come to an end. So, Work has started up, and some days aren't so bad as others. Alas, some days are very hard. It can be difficult to explain the physical strain from being separated from a child that you breastfeed. The physical pain is too strange to explain, not to mention that they don't really make it easy to work and be able to feed your baby the proper way. So, there are good days and bad days. But, I want to support my family, and I want to be a mom, and the only way I can keep food on the table is to work! So, I do what I must, and pray that my son can do better for his family, so that his wife can stay home when their babies are young to provide the best for them.
All this thinking and working has left us all exhausted. The summer is over, and this sweet time in our lives is passed. Who knows what the future has in store for us, but I am grateful for this taste of the desires of my heart... For the tender mercies of the Lord.
