Summer's End

The past two weeks have, of course, passed the quickest. With my mom in town (and the Twilight series to finish), we played our way through one week, and then with clean up and a trip to D.C. we sped through this week with our usual finesse.

Mom got to see how fun pool time really is, and of course, just to play with our baby.

I finally got my hair cut, and now all I need is a good beach day (Sunday here I come!) If poor Melissa hadn't gotten sick, she may have joined us, but while she will be spending her time recovering from gall bladder surgery, I will be lazing away at the beach.

So, while I wasn't able to do any temple work, little Mac and I basked in the glory of our temple while papa got the perks of the spirit on the inside. I am so bummed out that our summer temple trip was like that, but I have high hopes for the fall.

Time always goes so fast this time of year... But I will try to hang on to every moment home that I can. As long as Malcolm is happy like he was at the Little Gym, then all is right with the world... Right?

Socialites Ever

I feel like this week has gone non-stop, and will continue that way.

The house is barely clean, and my mom will be here Monday. I haven't sold the junk we have stored, and am ready to just throw it out! My child is rapidly outgrowing his clothes, and I can barely keep up with the sizes (I do not think a 4 month old should fit comfortably in 6-9 month clothes). I haven't gone through my bills, or my mail... and all for what?!

Playing outside and maxin' and relaxin' of course!

(insert terrible segway) Tim and I have started the South Beach Diet. I have lost 2 pounds, and he has lost 11 pounds since Saturday. Woo Hoo! So, this has made food an adventure. We went out to eat with Tim's family, who don't seem to see the point in dieting, not that I blame them, and had a delightful dinner.

We also had dinner with our fine friends the Haines, who are very understanding, and made an entire S.B. meal on our behalf! I am so often reminded about why I love them! Not to mention the motivating running factor, as Tamara and I try to build up our distance for a half marathon. (good luck to us).

At any rate, eating makes me sleepy.
Not ready to run!

So, in order to make my husband mad, and let the house get as dirty as possible, I have come up with at least a dozen excuses to do no work, and to spend every waking minute enjoying the couple weeks I have left of work freedom. Namely things that involve the outdoors, and water!

Yes, I blew it all up on my own.

We even have fun when we dry off and get clean!

The only things left on my list are a haircut and going to the beach! Now, if only I could get a tan!
